What is your shooting style?
No one likes forced smiles and awkward poses. My goal is to keep the experience as natural as possible. The best photos are always the real, messy, in-between moments. In 40 years I want you to be able to look back at your images and instantly be transported to that same feeling you had when you married your best friend. I’m not afraid to make fun of myself or crack a few sarcastic jokes to lighten the mood. I know how it feels to be in front of the camera, and normally that feeling is different for everyone. If you’re the type who may need more guidance, then I have no problem stepping in to help! If that is the case, I usually offer a few suggestions or prompt to get you interacting with each other to bring out genuine emotions. Although I do prefer a more photo journalistic approach, I understand how equally important family & bridal party photos are and promise to get all of those timeless shots with your friends and family as well! Anything you need, I got your back! Promise!
What is your editing style?
Since I am a huge fan of capturing authentic moments, it only makes sense that I prefer to stick to an authentic approach when editing. I like deep, rich tones in my images and strive to keep the colors as true to life as possible. The main focus of each image is its subject and how it makes you feel. I don’t want to take away from that but rather add to it and bring it to life. Your final gallery will be delivered in a majority of color images with a mix of black & white photos throughout. If you’re a huge fan of black & whites just let me know before the images are delivered and I will be sure to include more! 🙂
Where are you located and are you available to travel?
Currently I am based in NJ but I travel to all of the tri-state area! If your planning a destination wedding, I am just a plane ride away and my passport is ready! Feel free to contact me and we can work out a destination package!
What is your starting price and how much can we expect to invest?
My pricing starts at $3300 for full day coverage. Typically couples spend between $3950-$6000 when adding on a second shooter, engagement session, additional hours or albums. I understand everyone has their own budget and I work with each couple individually to determine what package would best suite their needs.
What is included in your packages?
All packages also include;
* Professional hand editing of each image
* A password protected online gallery
* All of your images in high resolution without watermarks
* The ability to purchase prints through your gallery
* Printing rights for personal use
* All tax included
Do we get all of our photos?
Of course! The only images I will not be delivering are mid blink or duplicates that I know you will have no desire for. I go through all of the images one by one to determine which are the absolute best. I shoot for quality over quantity; however, I do not cap how many images I shoot or deliver. Typically you can expect 50-100 photos per hour of coverage, numbers vary depending on how much is going on and if you have hired a second photographer.
Do you photograph same sex couples?
ABSOLUTELY! I don’t care what your sexuality is, gender you identify as or what ethnicity you are. We are all human and we all deserve equality.
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I have shot over 150 weddings and have been photographing them for over 3 years now. I have also been happily self employed for over a year and a half! 🙂 Being able to quit my job to pursue a career in photography still feels like a dream I haven’t woken from. My love for photography began at the age of 15 when I started shooting conceptual and fashion portraiture and I still continue to take on personal photography projects in my spare time. If you had asked me back then if I ever thought I would own a successful photography business, I would have never imagined I’d be able to turn my dreams into reality. I am extremely humbled to be able to wake up every day and do something I am truly passionate about. It definitely isn’t always easy, but damn it’s worth it!
What equipment do you work with?
Currently I am shooting with either the Canon Mark IV with Sigma Art Series 35mm, 50mm & 85mm along with the Canon 135mm or my Fujifilm X-H1 with a 23mm, 35mm, 56mm and 90mm. I also bring multiple flashes, memory cards, batteries, chargers and depending of the location of your wedding may set up a small light stand during the reception.
Do you have backup equipment and insurance?
Yes, I have general liability insurance up to 2 million dollars. I also bring a ton of backup gear including cameras, lenses, flashes, memories cards, batteries, pretty much anything you could think of! I also travel with a portable jump starter and air compressor for my car in case of an emergency.
When do we schedule the portrait session?
We can schedule the session at any time Monday – Thursday and occasionally Sundays if I am not booked for a wedding. I normally prefer to shoot an hour and a half before sunset since this is when the light is the most flattering, but I can make it work at any time that works for you!
How do we book our date?
All that’s required is a signed contract and a 30% deposit! I will send your wedding contract and invoice through a secure online portal where you will be able to access your documents and pay your balance whenever you’d like. The remaining balance can be paid at any time & in any increments, up until a week before the date.
Can we see a full wedding gallery?
Of course! I make sure to send all couples a few full galleries so they know what to expect! 🙂
